Bazaar Handbags!

valentino ugly bag.jpgFashion Police!!!

Ladies, this handbag is NOT worth the price. If you think it is I would like to know your opinion. This is a Valentino original (Buisson Rose Tote) found at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City, the price for this very bazaar handbag is a whopping $4000.00.

Just because It's a name brand, high end handbag doesn't mean it worth the cost.

What is a Satchel Handbag anyway?

414YN9Wl6sL._SL500_AA280_.jpg satchel purse.jpg 12927_Amanda_Satin_Mini_Satchel_Black.jpg

This kind of bag typically has some structure to it, but the handbag industry doesn't clearly define types of bags. A satchel has a firm body structure and can often stand up by itself, it is generally not "slouchy" as some handbags tend to be. It generally has a small handle that allows carrying it in your hand or at your elbow. Although some come with shoulder strap most are not worn on the shoulder. Enjoy

Beware...toxins in Nail Polish

Nlb76-opi-nail-polish-opi-on-collins-ave.jpg OPI ($7) nail polish is one of my favorite nail polish to use, stays on long so you really get your money worth. I love the new collection because of the beautiful colors and also this polish is FDA approved. Free of toxins including: formaldehyde, DBP, toluene.

Nars Nail Polish.jpgNars Nail Polish ($16) has developed an improved formula. The varnishes are now enhanced with UV protection, have a glossier finish, and supposedly last longer without chipping (I haven't reached a verdict on this just yet). They are also free of formaldehyde, DBP and toluene - which I think makes the smell less severe.

_lippmann nail polish.jpgThe polishes in the Lippman Collection ($15) are now not only free of DBP, formaldehyde and toluene, but they also contain green tea and biotin (protein) to help your nails grow stronger. The formula dries quickly and has a really nice shine. I personally love the two new spring colors. Have you had the chance to check out Dream a Little Dream of Me yet?

Adoree.larger.jpgAdorée Professional Nail Polish ($5) has more than 140 different nail colors in its range. While they are free of the "big three" polish no-no's, they do contain hardeners to help strengthen nails, and they claim to provide a high-shine finish.

How to wake up beautiful…

Part 2

As I said before Ladies…

Save Money, Not Wrinkles

At night you don't need to worry about eye treatments smearing your makeup, so slather on the richest formula you can. Celebrities swear by Aquaphor: "It conditions lashes and hydrates the delicate eye skin really well."

Try: Aquaphor Healing ointment, $9; at drugstore.com.

Avoid Carb Face

To wake with defined cheekbones, eat a high-protein, low-sugar dinner (try salmon and asparagus, a natural diuretic). Skip the rice, pasta and potatoes. "When our diet is high in glycemic carbohydrates, our features take on a soft, doughy appearance.

Wrap It Up (all my Ladies that love to have gorgeous hair)

To minimize A.M. frizz, sleep on a satin pillowcase or put your hair in a silk scarf/bonnet. "Those fabrics are much softer than cotton, so there's less friction.

I hope these tips really help because I have tried them and I love the results.

How to wake up beautiful...

Smooth Skin Black Woman Image.jpgAlign Center

Get an Early Start

Make a habit of washing your face a few hours before bedtime, ladies you know sometimes we all forget and we're trying to sleep in our makeup so that we can wake up with that same flawless look we had the night before. If you wait until you're tired, you're more likely to blow it off -- allowing "toxins and dirt to stay on there all night. You miss the best time to treat your skin. "At night there's more blood flow to the skin's surface, and there's nothing else on your face to interfere with absorption.

Try: Neutrogena Deep Clean Relaxing nightly cleanser, $7; at your local drugstores.

Sleep on Your Back

Lying on your stomach is bad for "beauty sleep." The average head weighs 7 to 8 pounds -- a lot of pressure to be putting on your face every night. In fact, many dermatologists say they can tell what side of the face people sleep on by the number of wrinkles there.

Get a Lift

Sleep with your head elevated on two pillows. Gravity helps lymph and blood flow so fluid won't accumulate.

Ladies I will have more tomorrow, so please check back…

What was she thinking?

I'm sorry, but we could not help it. Missy Elliott's protege Lil' Brianna a.k.a. Candy Girl, shows us how she earned her name by looking like a sweet confection at Six Flags America In Bowie, Maryland. MAJOR WARNING, do not try this look if you over 21 years old.

Nail Secrets...

Let’s talk nails

Applying nail polish can be a challenge for some people, especially applying dark, deep colors.
First you need to take your time, rather than polish the whole nail in one full swoop.
Break the process into at least three strokes: First, paint the center, then swipe along each side on the nail, keeps the coats thin to prevent chipping.

Also ladies you have to stay in the lines. But if you happen to go outside the lines use an orange wood stick or a Q-tip to clean it up.

For a finish professional look, always leave a small open space between the cuticle and the polish line.

(Quick tip) Before removing polish brush cuticle oil on each nail, to avoid staining the base of the nail on the fingers. The purpose of the oil it creates a barrier that keeps the color from penetrating the skin as you rub it away.
